NATO Codification – Meet The Team

Welcome to CMCA(UK)’s NATO Codification Team! We take great pride in being a team of extremely professional and knowledgeable codification experts, providing the UK Ministry of Defence with a one-stop service for their 21st-century codification needs. Our team boasts a wealth of unrivalled experience in NATO codification and has been supporting all three branches of the UK’s Armed Forces for over 25 years.

Since 2014, we have held a single-source contract directly with the UK National Codification Bureau, taking on all routine codification on behalf of Defence Equipment & Support. So, if it’s a piece of military equipment that goes to sea, flies, or operates on land, then we have a responsibility on behalf of the UK taxpayer to either create or maintain its 13 digit NATO Stock Number.

What began as a team of three in 1997 has grown over the years, and we now operate out of our head office in Worcester, as well as an additional satellite office in Yate, near Bristol. Led by Gary Harman, our dedicated team is composed of Chris Baker, Laura Clark, and Andrew Emery, overseeing day-to-day production activities at Worcester and Yate, respectively. Laura is supported by Rachel and Sandy, and our codification production is conducted by Chris, Nigel, Andy, Graham, Tony, Kevin, Darren, Sue, Denise, Debbie, and Darran. Finally, we have an additional layer of support in Geddy, Katie, Pippa and Mary, all of whom play a pivotal role in keeping the UK Armed Forces’ inventory codified.

Our team is currently recruiting, and we encourage you to keep a lookout for our advertisements on social media. If you have a passion for codification, knowledge of the UK military’s needs, and a drive for success, we want you to join our team. Come and be a part of our success and contribute to keeping the UK Armed Forces prepared for any situation.
