We have teamed up with the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce to host a forum dedicated to Obsolescence Management.
A lack of understanding of the importance of pro-active Obsolescence Management can have a major impact on companies of all sizes and from all sectors. Component obsolescence often leads to the need for expensive replacement parts, redesigns, and requalification, all of which could damage your competitive edge, your profitability and your market reputation. Obsolescence is inevitable but the upcoming forum led by CMCA(UK) aims to highlight pro-active strategic and tactical measures that can be taken to mitigate many of the risks associated with obsolescence, thus reducing its impact on through life costs.
CMCA(UK) are a privately owned, dynamic and forward thinking company offering a range of engineering services and solutions, bespoke to their customers’ individual needs. CMCA(UK) helps clients keep complex engineering systems up and running by sourcing and supplying parts that are difficult to find, monitoring the availability of components and systems to reduce the impact of obsolescence. In addition to this, the company offers in-house obsolescence management and strategic advice and provide a comprehensive procurement capability. In 2009 the company expanded with the addition of long term storage facilities, where parts are stored in nitrogen-filled, environmentally controlled cabinets, which ensures they can be kept for extended periods without degradation.
The discussion will take place on Tuesday 23rd July 2013 between 9-11am at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce in Worcester, to book your free place contact Gwen Evans at GwenE@hwchamber.co.uk direct.
