As part of our corporate social responsibility, this year CMCA(UK) has chosen to sponsor the John Kyrle High School International Sports Tour kit.
With our exports to, and dealings with Canada ever increasing we felt it ripe to get involved with John Kyrle High School’s fourth International Sports Tour to Canada. CMCA(UK) have taken great delight in sponsoring the school’s tour t-shirts, netball dresses and rugby kit and as a result, Rob our MD was invited along to the school where Headteacher, Nigel Griffith thanked him personally for CMCA(UK)’s generosity. Mr Griffiths said, “The opportunities my staff are able to offer young people to experience different cultures such as North America, South Africa and Uganda are enhanced greatly by our co-ordinated work with sponsors and benefactors.”
Through our reactive obsolescence (procurement) services, CMCA(UK) currently provide crucial support activities to Canada’s Upholder/Victoria class submarines. Designed in the late 1970’s to supplement The Royal Navy’s Nuclear Submarine forces, they were decommissioned at the end of the Cold War after only a short spell in service. In 1998 Canada purchased the submarines to replace their aging Oberon class boat. Today, CMCA(UK) provide crucial services to the former Royal Navy vessels by way of spares support, sourcing and supplying parts and components and component monitoring, providing a pro-active measure against obsolescence.
