CMCA(UK) recently exhibited at DPRTE 2017, the UK’s leading defence procurement and supply chain event at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena.
The event which took place on 28th March, welcomed over 1,500 key decision makers, who participated within a range of interactive educational and networking seminars which provided a unique opportunity for defence procurement personnel, prime contractors and industry to develop both existing and new working relationships. BIP solutions, the event organiser stated;
With spend in the Defence sector amounting to over £19 billion per year and a pledge to meet NATO’s target of spending 2% of national income on defence every year until 2020, the procurement and supply chain function within the defence sector has never been so important.
In addition to that, the National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence and Security Review 2015 outlined that an investment of £178 billion will be made on new equipment and equipment support over the next 10 years.
One of CMCA(UK)’s core services is supply chain procurement so with the flavour of the event being on topic we attended with a view to advertising our capability to the masses. We experienced a consistent high level of traffic to our stand with many delegates interested to know more about our full capabilities and how our services compliment each other to provide the most robust supply chain management solution.
The 2017 event which is supported by DE&S and other leading MOD organisations and trade associations follows an extremely successful DPRTE 2016 for CMCA(UK), where we launched V-Guard, the advanced under vehicle scanning system and were interviewed by two national television broadcasters (you can read more here.)
