Procurement Manager

Due to the successful development and growth of our Procurement Solutions business over the last 5 years we are now looking for a Procurement Manager with the skills to support continued expansion over the coming years. Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will take responsibility for the day to day management of all operational activities of Procurement encompassing receipt of enquiries, order processing and supply to our customers.

As an ambitious business we are looking for an individual with similar aspirations who can demonstrate proven experience and knowledge in a defence or general procurement role. You should also possess a desire to accumulate further skills and responsibilities as succession planning is an integral element of this new and exciting role.

 

Engineers and Supply Chain Specialists

CMCA(UK) is a market leader in developing and delivering innovative and effective Through Life Support Solutions across a wide range of industries including Defence, Aerospace, Rail, and Power Generation.

As our client base continues to grow we are seeking experienced Engineers, Technicians and Procurement & Supply Chain specialists who are looking for a new challenge to fill a number of roles within our Technical Services department.

Dependent on specific role, Through Life Support responsibilities include:

  • The analysis of customer Bills of Material and Drawings
  • Verification and validation of part numbers and item details
  • Establishing component availability & obsolescence status
  • Supply chain analysis and conversing with vendors up and down the chain
  • Assisting customers in resolving obsolescence issues by identifying potential alternatives and replacement components
  • Use of IT Systems and Databases
  • Project Management of customers and contracts

The roles would either suit candidates from an engineering or technical background, preferably electronic/electrical, but mechanical also considered, who are looking to move to an office based environment. Equally, candidates with procurement and supply chain experience would also be well suited.

Knowledge of NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs) would be advantageous, but not essential as training in these would be provided.

 

NATO Codification – Codifiers and Codification Support Staff

CMCA(UK) is the exclusive NATO Codification Contractor for the UK MoD and have been since 2014. In this capacity we are looking for individuals with experience of NSNs and the NATO Codification System to join our extremely successful Codification Department in two specific roles:

NATO Codifiers

  • Interpreting/understanding technical drawings and data (electronic and mechanical) and entering the information onto the UK MoD spares database (CSIS) in encoded format
  • Understanding of the NATO Codification System
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Have an exceptional attention to detail

Codification Support

  • Understanding of the NATO Codification System
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised
  • Have an exceptional attention to detail

 

A competitive salary is offered dependent on experience and skillsets

Successful candidates would primarily be based at our HQ in Worcester, however, working from home on a rota basis would also be considered dependent on role.
